Our locality | Dachsteinhof is a cosy family-run locality in a tranquil setting. Our outdoor dining area promises relaxing moments accompanied by the sound of the rushing Koppentraun River. In winter you may enjoy the lounge view of the winter scenery. Both our local Upper Austrian delicacies and the cosy rural comfort of our Salzkammergut lounge often tempt our guests to stay longer than planned. |
Summer | A 10 minutes forest walk leads to the cable car bottom station from where the cabins hover up to the Dachstein Caves, Giant Ice Cave and Mammut Cave. Both Koppental trail and Cave Trekking trail run right past our locality. The paths along the Koppentraun River are particularly suitable for joggers, Nordic Walkers and for baby buggies and “seniors”. |
Winter | The Obertraun cross-country trails are accessible from right behind the parking site. You can safely leave your sports equipment and ski gear in our lockable ski and drying rooms. Freeriders frequenting the FreeRideArena Krippenstein shred directly down to our Dachsteinhof via a forest trail, the perfect “in(n)-turn”. A free shuttle service provides access to the cable car station. |
